<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Last April 28th, BILASURF was presented during the technology showroom on robotics and advanced manufacturing organised by secpho at Eurecat’s facilities in Barcelona.</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The event brought together companies, technology centres and industrial stakeholders interested in advanced manufacturing, mobile robotics, autonomous systems, plastronics, additive manufacturing, photonics and advanced materials. Through technical presentations, live demonstrations, a visit to Eurecat’s facilities and a dedicated networking session, the showroom created a valuable space to explore new technological opportunities and potential collaborations.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this context, secpho introduced the BILASURF project as an example of how advanced laser-based surface functionalisation can contribute to the development of high-performance industrial components. The project focuses on new methods for the functionalisation of complex 3D parts, opening up opportunities for improving the properties and performance of surfaces in different industrial applications.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Presenting BILASURF in this environment allowed the project to reach a highly relevant audience, aligned with its technological scope and potential application areas. The event also reinforced the project’s visibility within the advanced manufacturing ecosystem and helped connect its results with companies and organisations interested in innovative surface engineering solutions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The activity is part of secpho’s ongoing work to promote the dissemination and exploitation of BILASURF by linking the project with strategic industrial communities and high-quality innovation networking spaces.</p>

<p><strong><br />NOVEMBER 28th | Oviedo (Asturias, Spain)</strong></p>
<p>The main objective of the Conference was to analyze the first years of operation of Horizon Europe, as well as its major initiatives. During the conference, the results of the participation of Spain were also reviewed in order to draw conclusions that will allow Spanish entities to improve their participation strategies and positioning in Europe.</p>
<p>The Conference also served to share different perspectives on the future European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation for the period 2028-2034.</p>
<p>In addition, on that day it was possible to receive personalized advice on Horizon Europe and there was the possibility of arranging meetings with other attendees to promote collaboration. The planned activities also included an exhibition of posters of projects coordinated by Spanish entities that have obtained funding from Horizon Europe. <p class="is-style-default has-white-color-color has-text-color">Miniaturization and high precision are rapidly becoming requirements in many industrial processes and products. As a result, there is greater interest in the use of laser micro fabrication approaches to achieve these goals. <strong>The International Symposium on Laser Precision Microfabrication (LPM) is alternatively held in Japan and in other host countries</strong>. To date, LPM has been successfully hosted in Omiya, Singapore, Osaka, Munich, Nara, Williamsburg, Kyoto, Vienna, Quebec, Kobe, Stuttgart, Takamatsu, Washington D.C., Niigata, Vilnius, Kokura, Xi’an, Toyama, Edinburgh, Hiroshima, Dresden and Hirosaki.</p>
<p class="is-style-default has-white-color-color has-text-color">The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum for discussion of fundamental aspects of laser‐matter interaction, the state‐of‐the‐art of laser materials processing, and topics for the next generation with fundamental scientists, end users and laser manufactures.</p>
